2/28/13 — Week eight
We added our blogs to the Valencia Web Studio. I created an HTML page that refreshes to this URL. It basically uses a <meta> tag in the <head> and refreshes after a second.
Project 3
We went over a sitemap for the Renninger’s redesign. There’s a main page then each location will basically be mini sites. First there’s the homepage, next level is: locations, contact, shopping tips, about/history, events/calendar, general vendor information.
The redesign will cover the main homepage, a homepage for one of the locations (most likely Mt. Dora because of the amount of information it has), and the events page.
For this project we can’t use any photographs. What is allowed: subtle textures/patterns, icons (social media, etc. but nothing that takes away from content), minimal illustrative elements (e.g. decorative <hr>), and the logo.
vCard
vCards are basically virtual business cards. It provides basic information about you and how to contact you. Amanda had us put together a comp for one.
For the Twitter extra credit we have to create a list. Following hundreds of people can get unwieldy so lists can help organize the people you follow.
