Whaaaat?

Here’s what gave me a massive headache yesterday and today:

  1. “I really want to do a responsive web design.”
  2. “I have to figure out fluid grids.”
  3. “So, how do I do fluid images?”
  4. Media queries…hmmm.
  5. HTML5 — “I don’t even need most of this for my website and this is making me sleepy.”
  6. CSS3 — “Ooh, look! Transitions. That’s neat.”
  7. “I should use WordPress as a CMS.” (Commence 2 hours scouring for understandable tutorials. Fail. Continue to look fruitlessly for another hour.)
  8. PHP — Holy cheezus! I. Am. Done. (That’s the point I broke my brain and couldn’t fall asleep because my head was throbbing.)

Clearly, I should pace myself. I don’t know why I thought I could figure that all out in one day. I spent most of today trying to code my site and…Well it’s not horrible but it’s definitely not responsive and I think I have too many div’s?

I need a list and a plan. That always helps.
